Shrimp and Salmon Soup in a Slow Cooker - Instructions

When making any seafood soup in the slow cooker we always make the broth first then prior to serving the seafood will be added as it cooks very quick.

Add the Green pepper and onions to a saucepan and cook them off.

Once these are cooked we add the garlic and carrot.

Let this all cook for around 3-5 minutes then we add the tomatoes, seasonings, wine and the tomato sauce.

Once added bring the ingredients to a boil, simmer, reduce the heat and let it cook for another 30 minutes whilst covered.

Now all the ingredients have combined, add to the slow cooker and set on the high setting for around 3 hours to 3 ½ hours.

The broth should now be smelling very nice and this is where we now add the seafood to the slow cooker.

Place the shrimp and salmon in the slow cooker, give it a good stir and cook for around 30-50 minutes.

You will know when the fish is cooked as it will have that flaky look to it but will vary in cooking time depending on how large the fish pieces are.

Once the shrimp and salmon soup is fully cooked, serve in a bowl as it is or you can add a rice dish to the course.
